Data that is collected and analyzed can be from a variety of sources. For example, a company might collect some data about their customers and then use the information to formulate marketing or other types of marketing plans. Statistics can also be based on a set of data gathered by computer software. An example of a statistics work is to tell whether a person can be trusted or not. In this case, the person would have to answer questions that could determine whether they were honest or not. For every statistical research there is a need for the respondent to understand the format of the questions. The follow some of the basic and most common questions for statistical research and answers. The first question that should be asked in a statistical research is the type of subject the respondent wishes to answer. Some of the topics that can be explored are age, sex, race, income, marital status, education, disability and the likes. The research questions should include the demographic information so that the respondent can accurately report the demographics and not misunderstand something in the responses. The second question that should be asked is the body of the question. This question is important because it will give the researcher the information about the results that they want and how they will use that information to construct a more complete and accurate answer. Other basic statistical research questions include whether or not the respondent is married, whether or not they own a home, and whether or not they own or rent a car. For each question a more detailed response should be expected. If the question does not offer the respondent a lot of choices then they should give an estimate of what they are looking for. The possibility of the respondent choosing something other than the accurate answer to the question should be considered. Because statistics is very complex, the statistics professional may require the respondent to complete several rounds of statistical research before they get the right data to produce a complete and accurate answer. There are many resources that can assist the respondent with answering the questions and gathering the information that is needed to give the results that the researcher requires.
